Toughest offset for 03 G35 Sedan?

Hi, I have just bought an 03 Skyline V35 sedan here in Adelaide, South Australia. It is the Japanese import version of the G35 you get in the USA. It is the same car, out of the same factory, just different name.

So - I am looking at getting some 18" rims.

What is the toughest offset you can get without rubbing or needing to roll the guards?

Has anyone ran the same offset wheels front and rear? I am looking at dropping the car about 1" on stock 350Z springs and keeping my stock V35 shocks at this stage.

I am looking at these:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/lmgt4-NISMO-R...3%3A1|294%3A50

Would they fit? Will they rub? Any tips on max width tyre sizes I can get on these rims?

Otherwise, what do people think is the perfect offset and width 18" wheels without any rubbing or scraping?

Thanks in advance for any help/tips/tricks

Andrew

I don't think they would rub with only a 1" drop and 18" wheels. You might want to look at 19's to get a more aggressive look. Aggressive offset is probably in the 0-15 range, depending on the wheel width of course.

By the way, what color is your car?

You can run those, might have to roll the fender and run a 235/45 or 225/45 on there.

30-35 is a standard offset for the sedan for an 8.5" width rim...

if you slam your car you can go lower than 22 with a little camber.

I may as well keep my question on this same post as its similar. Sorry to highjack, nightcrawler but im an aussie in the same boat as you.

I would also like to know the best most aggressive offset BUT FOR A COUPE without rolling fenders or scrubbing (i know its probably not called aggressive if you dont roll fenders)

I have not lowered the car but here in australia we have these stupid cement blocks in car parks which barely scrape under the lip of my coupe right now with 225/40/18 tyres.

So if i stick with the 18 x 8", but get 225/45/18f and 245/45/18r - what offset will look the best without rolling or scrubbing?

Thanks for the advice so far guys. Anyone else want to weigh in with an opinion? Anyone running same size/width/offset wheels like the Nismo ones I mentioned above?

No worries Wilko. There actually is a V35 coupe for sale at a yard near me with Volk CE28Ns on it with great fitment - I can go have a look at the wheels and find out the size/width/offset for you if that helps?

Pics below - she is stock standard at the moment ... but not for long

Yeah I think it is an 03. I will go have a look and take some photos of the wheels and offset for you this afternoon.

Thanks, yeah black is the only colour V35 sedan I like. Will look even better when it is lowered 1.5" all round and some nice wheels slapped on it. Got various other bits like clear front indicators, carbon fibre door trims, new front grilles, stainless extractors and exhaust etc etc coming in the next couple of months too.

Yeah it is an Extroid 8 speed CVT too - gear shifts with the paddles are quite amazing .... so quick and hard!

I was looking at those same wheels but in 19's. You will have to roll your rear fenders to put some decent size rubber on them but you should be OK.
