Wheel and tire question regarding size.

I have a set of 19 in 8.5 TSW rims for my 03 G35 sedan, what I want to know is what is the best size tire to get that would sit nice and flush with the fender. I'm doing a drop on 350z suspension soon.

I was looking as 225/40/19 size tires but I am concerned those tires will tuck inside the wheel well and look awkard

Any good suggestions will help thanks

Flushness will depend on the offset of your wheels, not your tires. Offset may be marked on the back of the rim, post that up and you can probably get some advice.

Ok I just checked the rims are 19x8 and the offset is 38

Hopefully the wheel fitment experts (ShanesG, redlude, some others) will chime in here but I can give you a couple points of reference: my 19" Rays are 8.0" front, +30 offset and 8.5" rear +33 offset and they are nicely flush on my 03 sedan. I don't *think* you will look too tucked, but you may have to play with spacers to get a look you like.

As for tires, the 225/40s on an 8" wheel to me look a bit stretched, I'd go with 245s to get a straighter sidewall. In fact there's a whole thread about tires on coupe 19s that offers much in the way of information -- and opinions -- on the right tires for this diameter and width wheel. 245/35 front and 255/35 rear seem a popular combination.

Ok wait I just noticed you said I might have to get spacers, is that so? Currently I'm on the coupe 18's which are 18x8 and they sit pretty flush
