Wheels with TPMS

If my car does not need TPMS and I buy wheels that already have them mounted, can I just leave them on even though they will not be functional? I don't want to have to take them off, change valve stems, rebalance, etc...

yes you leave them on and not use them. when its time for new tire pull them off and sell them.
