Steering Wheel Vibration

Hello, I just recently had my wheels painted by a friend. We jacked the car up, took all of the wheels off, put the car on cinder blocks in my garage, and took the wheels to a tire place to get them taken out of the tire. After the rims were painted we went back to the place, and had the rims put back into the tires and balanced.

I put the wheels back on the car myself, did everything tightly, and after driving it I noticed there is a vibration at times in the steering wheel. Does anyone know what the problem would be? I don't think it is something serious but am curious what to ask for when I go back to the tire place tommorow morning.

Even though you had it done, have them rebalanced. What part of the car was sitting on blocks?

check the rebalance and also check if all the bolts were tightened when you put the wheel back on

The reason I ask about the blocks is because if you had them sitting on your rotors, you could've cause damaged to them or warped them. Rotors can't take a full car load on them. If this is the case after you get them rebalanced, and the problem is still occuring, you may have to change the rotors. Sorry.

The tires could be cupped/worn unevenly on one edge. It might have been the outside edge before and less noticeable maybe when they were put back with the uneven wear on the inside edge so its more noticeable, or tire balance on the front tires.
