Need Tire Recomendations What Size?
Hi guys,
Well the other day it was raining hard I ended up nearly spinning out around a sharp banked turn in my 04 G35 Sport. I am thinking that the stock tires are nearly toast with 55k on them. They seem to have about 30 percent tread left but are horrendous in the rain and I cant imagine what they will be like come winter.
Anyways I was hoping to find a tire that would also increase ride comfort a little. When I bought the car used about 6 months ago I was unaware that it had the sport package with the sport suspension and to be honest I am not all that fond of it. With the tires being old like they are now I am noticing the bumpiness more and more.
After reading a few posts it seems like a lot of people are going with the 235/50/17's. I know little about tires but my thought was that increasing the sidewall from the stock 215/55/17 to say 215/60/17 I would be getting a larger sidewalled tire thus increasing the ride quality a little.
I guess what I need to know is what size tire I should be looking for? Is the 235/50/17 more for better look and performance because it has a wider tire to the ground, and does the 50 size sidewall make the tire more harsh because of its smaller sidewall. Also is say a 215/60/17 even possible?
thanks in advance

How do you like them, Is it a nice riding tire. I like Kuhmo as well as I have had good luck with them in the past.
If I get Kuhmos I think I would be most interested in the Ecsta LX platinum as its Grand Touring all season instead of Ultra High Performance All Season.
Still Dont know whether to go for 235/50/17 or 225/50/17
