Michelin or Yokohama or something else??

current Nankang tire almost wear out & want to a set of more quiet & comfort tire.

Got 2 choice in mind, Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 or Yokohama AVID W4S

size is 235/45R18...........some review said the yoko are very noise????

Anything will be better than the Nankangs. You can go to a 225/45 or 245/45 tire if you want a wider variety of options.

The Michelin is a touring tire, Yoko a sport tire. Typically the touring would be the more quiet and longer lasting option, but in this case that particular Michelin isn't a great tire. They will provide a better ride, maybe slightly quieter... but the wear/all season/wet traction, etc isn't good at all. They are put on cars as original equipment tires and perform average at best.

Of the two I would much rather see you in the Yokohama for across the board performance.

Like Gdup said, I'd move to a 225 or 245 for lot better options like Bridgestone Turanza Serenity, Kumho LX Platinum, and Michelin Primacy MXV4.

I just got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus on my 05 6MT Coupe. These are unbelievable tires, the best I've ever had. They smooth out the bumps and grip the road better than the Potenzas I had on there.
