38mm Offset

I'm looking at a set of rims that are
18x8 (+38) Front
18x9 (+38) Rear

What size tires would fit on these for the coupe?
Anybody else have this rim setup?

Re: 38mm Offset

is there any reason why you chose that setup? Anyways, on a 9 inch wide wheel you can go as far up as 275, and as low as, 255 i think. Check sites like tirerack and discount tire they usually have tables that show the minimum and maximum width of tire that will fit on a rim.

Re: 38mm Offset

The offsets are wrong for the coupe. The wheels will be tucked in. I'm not sure if they would fit the Brembos or not. With those widths you want something like +22mm in fronnt and +25MM in back.

This 19x8.5 Amistad Type C in Deep Blue color has offset 38mm, display set, pattern 5x114.3. Let me know if you are interested.

Thank you.

Re: 38mm Offset

Those are sharp, but I think the +38 offset is a better fit for the sedan and not the coupe, which is what I have.

I just ordered 19" Volk Winnings, 8.5 +25 in front and 9.5 +29 in back wrapped in Toyo T1s 245/35/19 fronts and 275/35/19 in back.

Pics to come...

Buddy, The lower the offset number, the further out the wheel Those numbers push the wheels in more then stock. You will need at least a +25 in front to clear the Brembos. I have +25 in the rear, I wish the wheels were out more (+22)

Re: 38mm Offset

Zen,
The sizes and offsets seem to be recommended the most when researching rim and tire size for the coupe.

What are the full specs of your setup, rim make and model, tire size etc.

Do you have pics?

Re: 38mm Offset

I'll take pics this weekend. You need to go to the nismo web site and Performance Nissan site and look at what they are recommending. For the nismo rims the offset is 25 front and 30 rear (18x8.5,18x9.5). I would email the company that makes the rims to see what they suggest, and the place you buy the rims should also have a recommendation.
