17 Inch Winter Wheels

I have an '07 G coupe with the staggered 19's. I am looking into getting a set of snow tires and wheels. Will putting 17's on the car be a problem (I don't have the brembo brakes)? How about the fact the tires are 225/55 both front and rear. Will the unstaggered widths make a difference?

according to the tire size calculator on 1010tires . com, you'll be running a little slow but overall should be fine with the 225/55/17. Early model G coupes had 17" wheels from the factory, so shouldn't be an issue there. I think it boils down to the fitment/offset of the new wheels.

The non-staggered debate has been going on forever. There are a lot ot theories out there. The main argument is that the car came from the factory staggered, it's better to keep it that way. Hoever, there are members on the forum who are running non-staggered without any issues. You're best bet is to to a search and make that call on your own.

I went with 18" 350Z wheels with OEM tire sizes as my winter option. 19" tires are too expensive and 17" look way too small. That's just my opinion.

Hope that helps, Peace.
