New rims and need opinions!!!

What's up guys, i currently have 19x8.5 inch rims all around with 245/35-19's all the way around also! My new rims are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5, my 245's probably wont fit rite on the rear of the 19's and im looking for some wider tires like 275/35-19, anyone got them on their rims on the sedan? Any experiences or opinions? Did anyone have to make modifications?? Thanks guys, Martin.

Re: New rims and need opinions!!!

I just ordered Axis Hiros silver 19x8.5 and 9.5 I am mounting Toyo T1Ss 245/40zr19 and 275/35zr19. Those sizes leave the wheel closest to stock diameter. There is a great tire calculator on http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html. Sorry, I am a little bit of a computer rock so you will have to type the link yourself. he he

Appearance-wise, I see no need to change. I can understand if you want lighter wheels or if you're not satisfied with the quality.

Re: New rims and need opinions!!!

Look around on this site. There are lots of guys running 275 on the rears. Look at the sedan wheel fitment chart and scroll almost all the way to the bottom. There you will find a couple of people running 275s. Most of them are running 275/30s but I will run 275/35s to help out the ride a little. Also, this is closer to the stock setting. You can find some other tire size info in the thread above the sedan fitment thread that has a link to a miata wheel size calculator. Hope this helps. My wheels are supposed to ship on Monday so I will post my results and pics next weekend.

Re: New rims and need opinions!!!

I can't wait to see pics of the new wheels mounted on your G. I'm really interested to see how the rear turns out. Based on the THX's sedan fitment chart, they'll be sticking out. I was planning on getting the 19x8.5 all the way around but i'll hold off to see how yours turn out.
