Coupe rims with 04 Z suspension?
Anyone know if I will rub if I use coupe rims with 2004.5 Z suspension??
I want to lower the car after getting the coupe rims but not sure if they will rub. Thinking if I should get the Z suspension or get some lowering springs like Tein S-tech, H&R or Eibach.
Someone help?

It is about 1 inch all around. Check out gsedan35 ride in this thread. Also there is more good info on this thread so read the whole thing. Hope this helps.

Re: Coupe rims with 04 Z suspension?
I dont think it will. I think, in your case, rubbing is more a result of the wheels not the suspension. The 350z suspension is a mild drop. If anything, lowering brings the top of the wheel in a little which may help to keep them from rubbing the fender. The coupe wheel offsets are less than the sedan so, if they rub, it will be the edge of the tire against the outside edge of the fender not the suspension. Do a search for some people with coupe wheels and shoot them a pm. Sorry I cant be of more help as I do not have coupe wheels. Check out this link and pm jedmonds and lilmauwow.

Re: Coupe rims with 04 Z suspension?
Wouldn't it be soooooooooooooooo much easier if Infiniti gave the sedan the same offset's as the coupe and Z and the same fender clearances.
I dunno, low offset's on the sedan don't alway's mix. One thing that doesn't help matters is that most all the coupe fitment's I've seen on the sedan are not lowered. One member did lower his sedan on Eibachs, which lower at least a little bit more then the Z suspension does (some times definately more). BUT, did that one member correct his camber? That really matters because less negitive camber moves the tires closer to the fender lips. Of course if you plan on a performance alignment anyhow, that's a mute point.
Any time I see the Z suspension mentioned, and possibly using lowering springs only, I'll remind you that the Z suspension will be much superior performance wise, it's about shock control(weight transfer control) and linear springs vs progressive. In the same breath, it's about what you want out of the car when your done.

Re: Coupe rims with 04 Z suspension?
Well, I managed to find someone who is willing to sell me his 2004.5 Z suspension over at my350z forum but he crashed his car somehow and said he wouldnt get it back for at least a month so I will just have to wait and see if I got the deal.
I know many people did the swap to Z suspension and loved it and I also love the coupe rims too so I really wanna know if I should get the Z suspension after the coupe rims. Since I have the non-sport suspension, I think using lowering springs would not help my car much.
