Nope, sorry. I can see where your flame bait is going.

Looks are subjective. I prefer my nismo bodykitted G35 to either a normal sedan or a TL. To me, the TL looks too much like an overweight accord trying to look like a 98 mustang

As for speed, it's hard to beat the 5.6 0-60 time the G35S 6MT posted in Autoweek. That beats the best 5.8 time I have seen for a 6mt TL. And that only in straight line performance. Throw in some curves and your TL with it's 60/40 weight balance will surely show it's shortcomings.

The G35 has earned it's accolades. The TL is a nice car but it just doesn't stack up to the G35 in Performance.

TL's are fricken ugly... Wanna be G35 Coupe front bumper design, and the uninspired Mitsubishi Galant lookin' tail lights on a accord body.. nasty

Re: 19" or 20" for an 04 TL

Hey, not all G35 owners are TL haters. IMO, I'm driving a 2003 (non-premium) G35 Sedan/loaner today and would MUCH RATHER be driving a FWD Acura TL. If I wanted a 4 door car, it would be a family car. If I wanted a family car, I wouldn't care about FWD or RWD.

Having said that, I would not trade my 2004.5 G35C-6MT for any stinkin' TL.

I'm not a TL hater. I think they are a great car. I got to drive the [censored] out of one at a Lexus drive event. The handle nice but not nearly as good as a G35.

What I do hate is people that use opinion and inuendo to argue a point. That is usually what many TL owners use to qualify their purchase

Not a TL hater here...TL was my 2nd choice but, in the end I chose the G, I prefer the look of the G, performance, handing...which I didnt see on the TL when I test drove it.. TL has a nice interior but if I was after the interior I will be driving an E-class or the 5-series

Peace

Re: 19" or 20" for an 04 TL

I like 19's for the TL, 20's seem to be a bit too big. I think a silver finish would look nice as would (gulp) chrome.

Congrads on your TL, it is a great car with a fantastic interior. I thought about the TL for a while and if I bought a sedan I might own the TL instead of the G coupe.

Re: 19" or 20" for an 04 TL

Thanks for your responses.....I didn't mean to start any trouble. I am just looking for help with wheels. Most of us agree that the TL is nice....like I said earlier, if I didn't have kids, I would have a G coupe. (I am trying to talk my wife into getting an '05, so I can steal it.) As far as the G sedan, I wouldn't buy one if it had 1,000hp. I just don't like the body, and I think alot of people feel the same. Moving on.....the SF Challange in mercury silver was one of my top choices. I also was looking at the GT-7's and 20" GT-C's. Can anyone photoshop some Volks or Iforged on my car?

Re: 19" or 20" for an 04 TL

i hate it when people start something even though its not their "intention" to do so and try to act all innocent

a lot of people feel the same way about your TL as well, its just not all that great looking as it blends into all the other cars out there. its exterior is not displaying class like its supposed to like the older generation TL. it's a luxury car, but the exterior does not show it. it tries to be a muscle car and look fast, but the mechanics under the hood and the suspension in no way makes it fast, or even close to the performance level of the G35 sedan OR coupe.

so y dont you stop trying to start a flame war with "we all know that the TL is the best car under 35K" even though you try and say ur not trying to start something. what do you think would happen when you said that? go cry to your TL forums and stop bothering us with your wheel problems.

and if your posting in the G35 forum about your TL, what does that say to you psychologically? wannabe . . . .

Re: 19" or 20" for an 04 TL

matters is right. I noticed the other day that the $15K Civic has the same cool undercut running down the front fender, the doors and the rear quarter panel that the TL has. Funny how a $35K car would copy a $15K car that copied a BMW 330.

If I (a coupe owner) want to rag on a sedan that's all in good fun; however, if you come here putting down half of our fellow members you're liable to be hunted down by some of our "less stable" posters. Consider yourself warned!

The TL is nice, but don't come here pissing in MY living room biotch!

AND FOR ONCE THE CAVEAT DOES NOT APPLY!

Re: 19" or 20" for an 04 TL

What are you guys talking about? I was not the one who started all this....someone mention that my car was an accord, and I simple said that I owned both, and that the TL was completely different (IMO). I should have said one of the best under 35k, I guess. It's funny to me that we as car lovers can't correspond without confusion. If I had a CL55 and one of you came to my CL55 forum and asked for an opinion on something, I would simply give it. Peace!
