rear tires on stock 19in sports
rear tires on stock 19in sports
hi i am currently running 225-40-19 in the front and 245-40-19 in the rear. now my front tires need to be replaced can i put the 245s on the front and run a wider tire on the rear?maybe like a 255-40-19 please let me know whatcha think.
You "can" run them on the front, but you changing up the tire sizes will affect rolling dameter and cause your speedo to be out. A 225 will roughly measure
26.08" and the 245 roughly 26.71". A 255/35/19 is pretty short so you might be worse off with them on the rear.

+1 on what lights out said... I just picked up a set of OEM 19s and im probably going to run a 245/40/19 all around. My speedo will be off by about 1mph but im willing to sacrifice that the option of rotating tires.
If you still want to run a staggered set up and want to increase the width, i would go with 245/35/19 up front and 255/40/19 rear.
