Widening just the rears with spacers

Widening just the rears with spacers
If I put 25mm spacers on only the rear while leaving the front stock, would that create more understeer? I want a wider stance from the rear and I can't afford new rims so I decided to get spacers instead.
I had my first experience of understeer a while ago while going into a wide turn a little too fast. I think it might have been a little dangerous if I had a little more understeer.
