What size nut on bleeder valve?

Last weekend I bled my non-Brembo brake lines. The bleeder valves on the front brakes were 10mm and I had a wrench for those. However, the bleeder valves on the rear brakes looked to be about half that size and I had to punt to find a pair of mini vice grips to finish the job. I'd like to get the proper size and do the job right next time...

Does anybody know the actual size of the bleeder valve nut on the rear non-Brembo brakes?

Re: What size nut on bleeder valve?

8mm

yes it is small

make sure you use a box end or a tubing wrench not a standard open end. you will strip it if you do.
