Wider Tires On OEM Coupe 18s

Hey guys, Today I put on some 235/35/18 up front and 255/35/18 in the rear. Needless to say my VDC went crazy so I have to swap them out for something else on top of that the wheels look extra small.

Do I have to go back to stock sizes or can i run a slightly wider tire? I just went F/I so wider would be better.

Say 235/40/18 and 255/40/18? I'm pretty clueless on what the VDC requires to be happy.

Thanks

id run 245/40/18 since they 1.01% bigger than OEM 225/45/18(~1/4 inch bigger). 235/40/18 is smaller by 2.23%(~almost 1/2 in smaller).

and the rears you're looking at is good.

Have had many use 245/40-18F 245/45-18R, but not much more you can do with the oe 8" wide wheel that has the correct overall diameter.
