Mixing snow tires front/rear
I need to buy some new Blizzaks for the rear of my car. But bridgeston does not make the WS-50's any more. They say that you should purchase the tires in packs of 4, but my fronts are still fine.
So my question is could it really be that bad if i had different styles on the front and rear, they will both be blizzaks?
-before anyone points this out, I know that with normal summer tires you can change the front and rears differently, but I have been told that winter tires are different.
Thanks for your help.

Four of the same all around is always the best for the most predictable handling. However, Bridgestone has advised us that the Blizzak WS-50, Revo1, and WS-60 are mixable when installed in axle pairs. The new tires should be installed on the rear of the vehicle unless stated differently by the vehicle manufacturer. The new tire placement will reduce the potential for over-steer in poor weather.
