How much rougher are 20 inch wheels?

I MIGHT be getting a set of 20" Axis Penta wheels tomorrow but I'm worried that my car will rid like a tank. I have oem 18's with oem sized tire in front and slightly shorter tire out back ( 40 instead of 45 ) and I'm riding on H&R Coilovers. The car feels decent enough and it's it barely any rougher than I'm okay....but if it's a LOT rougher then I'm not doing it.

Please chime in.

ive had stock 17s, stock 18s and 19s with 35 series on them and the difference between them all was not noticeable. also i have gone from stock to 350 h-tech, to 350z s-techs, to now stance coilovers on the oem 18s. the quality has increased over stock with the coilovers.

I don't think your ride is going to get rougher, but you'll probably hear a lot more road noise from the lower profile tires.

I expect that so that's okay...it's good to heard ride quality doesn't get affected much. I had a GTI with 225/40/18's and it felt like stock and the tires in question wouldn't be much thinner.
