That just my opinion, maybe im a bit bias to the track wheels lol. Those rotas are nice nonetheless.
ya i havent been able to find a complete set at all that are in good shape, all sets have at least one wheel that is not fixable, and its usually the front which is harder to find in those. i got 4 months of deployment time before i need to get new rubber, so ill keep my eyes out, just looking at other options and doing research on what else is out there in the aftermarket world. the prices ive seen have been around 1k, then you have about 150-200 ea for powder coating which puts me to about 1500. so if i do find the set i will most likely pick them up, if not probally will be these.

Yea I'm going to redo the center caps and buy rays blue lugs. Still undecided for my G wheels. But that's another thread!

XDR; buy some that aren't in mint shape and bondo all the rash. You get them for cheaper and have a 100% flawless set when you're done.

Oh I don't mean like reconstructive surgery, it has to be just scuffs.

Keep looking though, they'll fall into your lap.

Go on autotrader/craigslist and email all the guys that have track pack cars and ask them to part the wheels lol that's how I found mine.

I like the fact that Rota makes a nice looking wheel (replicas mostly) at cheap pricing, but you get what you pay for with them.

My first set, Tarmac II, bought new and cant ever remember even hitting a medium sized pot hole. Sold them to a friend and while at 90kph and he hit a small road inperfection...

Second set, Formula Mesh, bought new and found a massive crack in one wheel a year later. I welded it and have yet to hear of the new owner have any problem, but thats 2 wheels just of mine.

yeah i guess that is a trade off. but that could happen to the rays too, there forged so there stronger but there still could me a manufacturing flaw that causes something similar. the rays are my first choice, these are what im looking into for a backup if i cant find any decent ones in a decent price range, also they come bronze like i want so thats a plus, thinking about there nismo lmgt4 replicas too.. anyone know the weight of a track wheel? *4DGS*

ya the rotas are about 3lbs heavier each for the 18s, sure the 19s add a couple more.

My stock sport 18's cracked in the first year. I did not hit anything that should have cracked them, but it happened.
