Its hard to go heavier than the CEs I have, but I'm gonna have to I think...

I didn't notice much if any difference when going from the 17s to what I have now (not in felt acceleration or ET at the track)... the overall weight is almost the same, tires are within a couple pounds I think (I'd have to pull out all the reference documentation I have on them to get exact weights)
But the f-ing pig heavy rotors I have now made a big difference! from under 15lbs with OC Autosport OEM size to the 30lb 14" that come with Akebono, acceleration is notably slower (not horribly, but noticeable for sure)... havent drag raced with these yet...
Anyway - what wheels do you have? And can you get another "steal"?
There could be a half dozen or more configurations of what order considerations would be... however, this poll was to determine whether or not the majority of people care about wheel weight at all... you aren't the only one that stated the obvious though:
---------------------------------------------
what makes you say no one cares? Do I need to start another poll?
here are two posts just in this thread:
The variance in weight between same size tires is not nearly as broad as wheels... typically a few ounces to a couple pounds - and even though it is farther from hub so rotational mass is a factor even at low weight, a rim has huge variance in weight and therefore normally more of a concern for most people.

Either way, the reason I said it was because it's something that's barely talked about. I see 100 topics about wheel weights yet there are very few about tire weight which is considerably more important than wheel weight since it's 100% on the outer limit of the wheel.
I've been searching for some tires ( I bought new wheels but put used tires on to give me time to look into new tires ) and within the same size I've seen as much as a 7lbs difference on various 245/35/20 tires and a 9lbs difference on various 275/30/20 tires....that's a bigger difference than the weight difference of my TSW's vs. some DPE wheels in my size and in the most important part of the wheel setup.
Now granted, if you get lightweight wheels AND lightweight tires then you're golden....but it's usually 4 times more expensive to do so which is what keeps a lot of people ( like myself ) away.
Plus, you also have to think about this....is it REALY that important? I mean, I feel my car the same going from oem 18's to 20's....and when racing my friends the outcome has been pretty much the same so...does it REALLY matter as much as people think it does?

Especially Advan RS-D... or even better, Rays RMP: REM Roga (its discontinued and I cant find anywhere)
Yup. I saved that much when swapping out the RE050s to my Pilot Sports. I saved 6 lbs in back and about 3-4 up front. Major savings on the outside portion of wheel/tire package.

I agree with ya. In my case with the re050s/Pilot Sports, I don't think I gave up anything but weight.
But the Toyos are pretty light and I would probably choose those also if grip was top priority.
