OP, if your more performance than aesthetics driven, then realize that the added weight and increased metal diameter of 19" wheels will dramatically slow down your car. Search the forum for the people who slap 19" coupe wheels on their sedans and notice the performance downgrade. I am one myself, took them off in less than a week. But they look so good!

Never been a fan of General tires. Though I've never owned any, I rode with a few who have. Felt like crappy tires to me, but it's really hard to render judgement when you're in someone else's car.

Question

Believe me, I'm no expert but in talking to one about the original tires that came mounted on our ambulances... he said, "Ever wonder what they do with recycled pencil erasers?"

He undoubtedly had a subjective opinion about the fact that they were among the cheapest and worst made tire in existence... but frankly when a guy like that tells me I'm inclined to take his word for it- besides, there are SO many tires out there to look at!

Just got a set of new 19" (9.5" and 10.5")wheels from 4dgs (awesome seller!)and looking for rubber- I had my eye on 245/19/35-30 front and 285/19/35-30 rear (not sure about the 30-35 yet). In doing my research it looked like Nitto invos were going to be the choice but kal tire literally just bends you over on them and have exclusive import rights to them. Looking around, it appeared the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 were there way to go.

Anyone have an opinion on that? I'm driving a 2006 G35 Coupe AT
Also- was going to go with Tire Rack judging by their pricing... though shipping is a concern. Without shipping I have it at 764US for the full set. Sound good?

OP, I'm running 235/55's on my 17's (2004 sedan). Wide tire that fills the wheel well (aesthetics) with minimal weight gain but nice width. I wouldn't go taller or wider as it begins to look like a truck or FX. Not inro lowerig since I live in a pothile ridden city and one mistake could do serious damage.
