Best offset to fill Coupes wheel wells?

Hey, I'm about to buy some new rims and I need to know the best offset to fill my wheel wells.

I was thinking of 18x8 in front and 19x9 in rear (don' tell me to go higher, I can't afford it...), but I need to know the best offset to fill in the wheel wells.

Everyone is talking about the size of the rim, and the width. But no one cares to think about the offset. I want a deep dish look so I was thinking in 20-30mm range. What can some of you recommend?

And what is the offset of the coupes stock 18" wheels?

Re: Best offset to fill Coupes wheel wells?

I just installed Privat Fahren 18 X 8f, 18 X 9r. Both have 40mm offset and they fill out the wheel well very well. Can't yet post pics as I am waiting for a new camera to arrive.
By all the measurements my wheel dealer and I did, you should be able to go as low as a 30mm offset rear and about 32mm offset front. I verified this by adding spacers to give those exact offsets. With those offsets, the outside edge of my tires (245/40f, & 275/40r) was flush w/ the outside edge of the car. I did want the tires *somewhat* inside the edge of the fender, so I left them on w/o any spacers.
Any lower offsets will cause the tire to be outside of the edge of the fenders. Not a desirable look (IMHO) as I have seen some ghetto cars with that look.

BTW: mine have about a 2 1/2" lip on the wheel too.

Here are some pics of the exact wheel/ tire combo on a 350Z. I think the Z's have larger wheel wells than the G35C.

Re: Best offset to fill Coupes wheel wells?

WHoa! WHat are the odds? I was actually looking at the Privat Zwanzig wheels man great minds think alike...I would LOVE to see some pix, where did you get your rims from and if you don't mind me asking, how much?

I know what you mean about the ghetto look....but I think the car would look great with the wheels _almost_ outside the fender, but I'm not sure what kind of effect the 20mm offset I was looking at would give the car...But thanks fro your input, and I am seriously hoping to see some pictures as soon as you get them, thanks again!

Got them thru a local guy who got them thru Todd @Discount tire.
Paid about $1800.00 for them.

New camera should show up by the weekend, so pics should be around that time frame.
