The 245/35 DWS looked to big and they rubbed. Because of the conti's " 60 day customer satisfaction warranty", i was able to go back and swapped them for a 225/35 at no cost to me (actually got some money back) and let me tell you, they look amazing and i couldn't be any happier. I live in NY and was afraid to put a 225 on my wheels but a 225 DWS almost looks like a 245 proxe4.
I really want these tires too.Im thinking of getting them in 235/55R17 for my 04 G,are they really BIG or they just look big?they say the 5poke 17's can fit 235's,hope it isnt too big.TIRERACK back ordered!!might wanna get them from discountTRE but theyre charging like $16 more there...

The 245/35 were really big on my 8.5's, i had to change them to 225. I suggest going to a tire shop and compare them to any other all season tire and see for yourself...

Maybe your Toyos just sucked, lol I have 245/35-19 DWS tires on my TL, and they look awesome... Look almost the same as the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS I had on before, except the contact patch is wider on the DWS. (Bridgestone's are famous for having narrower contact patches)

i have these tires on my g now for a week. running a square setup of 275-40 r18. so far i can only comment on dry handling and they are pretty good but nothing to go crazy about. (i hope this changes since i only have 300 miles on the car) im running only 32 psi and have read these tires like more around 38 psi. i will bump it up and see if they feel better around turns. what really attracted me was how good it preformed in all season, the tread life, and the weight. i take account everything before a purchase and the weight seemed less than many other tires in the same size. i would say its prob the best tire for a dd

Contis DWS.

whats a dd tire? i JUST put these tires on my Gsedan 225/50r17's and i gotta say they are really nice. They are NOT noisy at all, and the dry grip is pretty good.I will see how these tires progress,i just came back from the shop and they still have the coloring on the tires but they seem really good. I am more than satisfied, get these tires if youre looking for a good all season tire.

How is the handling on the tires? How did you guys decide between the DW and DWS? Thanks.

Dry handling is pretty decent for an all season tire. I dont knowtoo much about the DW contis cause i was looking for ultra high performance all season. and the DWS are dry wet and snow, and i live in Chicago so its pretty essential for me cause i dont have the luxury of getting dedicated winter tires. But get the DWS and youll be more than satisfied, there affordable ,and perform really well.Plus they just look siiick!=) got 225/55R17's on my Gsedan.Just drove out in the rain here and it was stuck to the road even with VDC OFF.theyre worth it and not noisy at all.

Thanks for the response. I currently have Michelin PS summer tires on mine. I live in Arizona and plan to purchase the DWS tires. I just hope I don't lose too much on the performance/handling feel??

I just had a set of these put on tuesday. I've only put about 120 miles on them but so far the ride is much smoother(rough streets here) and it sounds quieter in the cabin but I'm not sold on the handling. Its hard to describe the feeling, it feels kinda like you're floating to the edge while in a turn. The tires hold the line but there is a weird drifting sensation that I don't recall with my last two sets. For comparison the first set were the OEM Bridgestone RE50s(16.5k miles, (front/rear 2/32s)) and the 2nd set were Toyo T1R Proxies(21k miles, (front 4/32s)(rear 1/32), nice tread pattern, horrible wet performance).

Both the T1R and DWS tires were in 235/35/19(front) and 255/35/19(rear).

Thanks for the feedback. I have heard others saying that the handling could be improved. They have received great rating on tirerack and the price is pretty good compared to other brands like Michelin. I think it will be worth a shot. I am just not sure how they the DWS will perform in the weather here in AZ.
