2003 Coupe TIRE CHOICE?

What is the best tire for a 2003 Coupe.

I want a tire that lasts a long time and rides nice on the freeway. I am not into the racing or high preformance tires. Anyone have any suggestions on what is the longest lasting most durable tire? The whole no rotation thing sucks, due to the staggard tire size.

Also any ideas on a location to buy them? I saw Costco had $70 OFF coupons for tires.

Thanks in advance!

What size wheels do you have? How much are you willing to spend? And "as little as possible" is not a valid answer. I wouldn't get anything lower than V rated.

A quick look at Tire Rack for 18" tires (model - tread life warranty/UTQG):
Continental ExtremeContact DWS - 6 year/50K/540
Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum - 6 year/60K/600
Yokohama AVID ENVigor - 5 year/45K(W)/60K(V)/560
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus - 6 year/45K/500

I'd say the Michelins are without a doubt the best tires in this group, but they're also by far the most expensive, $860 for 4 18" tires, $200+ more than the next set, and $300 more than the Conti's. Obviously, 17" tires will be less expensive. Michelin -$180, Kumho/Yoko -$80, Conti's only -$20.

I am looking at the Contis my self, Yea its an all season but I needed long tred life. They are Y rated too , Tire rack has a review on them in both the dry and snow.

With the contis you also get 60 days to test them out, if you dont like them you can swap them with any other continental tire just need to pay the difference. They also come with road hazard coverage. Check them out.

I had Yokohama AVID V4S's on a previous car and loved them. Quite, rode soft and decent wear and lifespan.

I'll prob buy them again for my G35 sedan this summer.

1. try the TECH section, wheels & tires
2. try the Coupe forums (this is sedan forum)
3. use Tire Rack search for popular tires for your vehicle, read reviews.

hope that helps.

I just put the Yokohama AVID ENVigors on my 04 sedan and like them very much...I think they would fit what you are looking for perfectly--as far as a smooth riding tire on the highway. I had Yokohma YK420's and these are much more quiet on the highway...maybe slightly better handling but not much.
