350Z Strut Bar on G35

I did a search on this forum and found nothing. Hopefully someone can help me out. Looking at pictures of the 350Z and the G35 sedan and coupe, makes me want to get a strut bar (that goes across the top of motor). Somone here has both a 350Z and a G35, or if anyone has friends with the opposit car and is willing to experiment, please fill us in on the result. If it does fit, that means us G35 coupe or sedans can order 350Z aftermarket strut bars. Thanks in advance.

That looks like a very nice mod - I suspect it's also a reasonably priced one. Please keep us posted if you find anything out. Like Pestilence said - KEWL!

The Sedan has an A/C fitting in the way of the strut tower bracing point. It could be moved though. The real problem is that the motor in a sedan sits higher in the engine bay than a Z. So we would need to modify the height of the brach as well as move the A/C bracket. Not hard problem but the bar isn't plug n play.

Don't all strut bars have screw extensions to adjust the length minimally? That may be able to resolve the height of the motor issue. Hmmmmm...anyone else?

If you want to have the strutbar resting on 2 inches of bolt, then yes it will work. I looked at this with the guys from Strickly Z and it will be a stick problem for a while. They are looking for an aftermarket bar.

Looks neat rumble but I think we can strut our stuff without it if we have to

Helps to limit frontend deflection in hard conerning. Stiffens the front suspension and ties it all together-basically

Re: 350Z Strut Bar on G35

if the engine bay on the sedan is like the coupe it won't work. On the g35coupe it doesn't have the same mounting points as the Z. It would have to be a totally different setup to put a stress bar on the g35.

Re: 350Z Strut Bar on G35

Rumble, dont get those adjustable $20 strut bars...
Adjustable strut bars are pure crap.
They are just for looks, they give you NO performance/handling improvements.

A good strut bar will be 1 piece and have an extremely snug fit, that is afterall, the whole point of having a strut bar.
good examples of good strut bars: 350Z, and all TRD strut bars.
