Putting g37 sport's on my g35x
Ok ive got a 2004 g35x and im looking to put g37 sport 19's on it and already for a pretty good deal for a set.
Few questions:
1. for tires, since i have my AWD all diameters of the tires need to be the same so when looking for tires i would need to find the same size tires. for example 225/40-19 for the front and 245/40-19 for the rear. is this correct?
2.What do i need to do about the TPMS. Do i just use the ones that come on the g37's or do i need to swap it out of my stockers?
3. I read that i need to use ONLY g37 lugs. True?
Thank you all
Mike

1. Yes, the entire wheel and tire combo need to be the exact same diameter for front and back.
2. You have to take the TPMS off your current wheels and put em on the new ones.
3. False, you can use your current lugs if you want.

#3 is wrong. You cannot use the lugs that came with your '04 stock G35X for the G37 wheels. You will see when you get the G37 wheels that your '04 lugs will not seat properly. There are a few threads on this issue. Be safe....

I installed G37 rims on my coupe.. you need seated nuts. without these lugs, you are not able to torque the lugs properly. here's a link to cheap set of lugs you need

well thing is i want to keep my current wheels for the winter so i dont want to be taking tires off every seaon just to change out the TPMS. So what can i do to solve this? anyway to buy TPMS's that will work?
You can buy TPMS's for the new wheels, or just run them with regular valve stems. I run both my sets with regular valve stems (have a busted TPMS and didn't care to buy a new one). There's no ill effect, except that the TPMS light comes on after about 30 miles of highway driving or when engaging cruise control, but otherwise it stays off....
If there's a loud, annoying beep when it comes on, then you have low tire pressure in one of the tires. If light simply comes on by itself with no noise, then yep, I'd say at least one is bad.

So in realitly i dont even need a TMPS? becuase usualy i can tell if my tire is flat or under inflated.
So if i buy these rims all i would need its tires like 225/40-19 for the front and lets say 245/40-19 for the rear?
And g37 lugs?
