PLease explain the offset

I am buying 18X8 rims and I want 235/45/18 on all 4 tires.....will these work in the front and not stick out past the fender?? I know that the offset has something to do with this, but what offset will keep me within the fenders? Most of the wheels that I have been looking at are +35 to +45 offset. Will the +35 tuck under better or will the +45 tuck under better? Thanks for your help

Here's a pretty good explanation of offsets.

You should be able to compare your new wheel widths/offsets to your stock widths/offsets (you will have to search those up) and come up with a pretty good idea how new wheels will look.

^^ What are your offsets? Tire size is not the only factor.

No charge. Hope it helps.

Also look through the stacks of wheel threads, and maybe post what wheels you're looking at, maybe somebody else is running them. OEM or aftermarket?
