Question about 19" Rays and spacers.

I'm thinking about buying the Ichiba spacers. Once the spacers are mounted, will I have to file down the factory studs or do the Rays have a hollow pocket on the back side to clear them. Much thanks!

Ummm I'm not sure on what you are asking exactly... The spacers have holes where the factory studs go through and you use the given screws to tighten the spacer onto the stock studs/hub. *This is all based on the idea that you are buying one with built in studs* Then you just put your wheel on the studs on the spacer like you would normally onto the stock studs.

I guess what I'm asking is, once the spacer is bolted to the hub, will the stock studs stick out past the spacer obstructing the wheel from being flush with the spacer?

the Spacers that you buy will have holes in them....you put those over the stock bolts on the hub....you then take the nuts that come with the spacers and put them on over the stock bolts that are showing through the holes on the spacer....then the spacers built in studs are used as the Lug-nuts on the OEM 19's....dont understand how that doesnt make sense......

OP I understand what you're asking. Not sure why it's so hard for others to understand. Anyway, I don't know the exact answer to your question. However, plenty of people run the ichiba v2 spacers with the OEM 19s without issue. You should have no problem with what you're worried about.

Not that tough.

He is concerned if the oem studs are going to still stick out too far and hit the wheel, through the spacer. Most oem wheels have pockets, the question is if they are going to be deep enough.

They don't stick out at all on either my HR's or ichiba/project kick (can't remember which one for sure right now)

edit: mine are 25mm btw

G35 OEM will has back pockets for 20mm or less spacers with extended studs.

You won't have to worry about stock studs sticking past the spacers if you get 25mm or more.

Either way, it WILL work.
