Re: heLP!!!!

well i headed down to jiffy lube, and had them check the tire pressures... my front tires were low.. 20psi so they juiced them all up a little bit. but that doesnt seem to be the problem.

also, before i got my new tires put on, i had some fun w/ the old ones..meaning VDC off, and i spun some donuts. after a few times around, i noticed the slip light was on. i came to a stop, turned off the car, then turned it back on. maybe it has been happening since then, i just didnt notice.

its almost as i've lost half my handling capabalities... i need advice badly. I will most likely end up taking it to the dealership, but wanted to hear you guys/gals opinions first.

Thanx all!

Re: heLP!!!!

What a conicidence. I had my tires rotated today and when I left the place, the SLIP kept coming on. I freaked thinking they had screwed stuff up. I took it home, disconnected the battery (when in doubt, reboot) and it worked. No more SLIP and the steering and traction is normal.

I also spoke to my advisor and he said low tire pressure and even low brake fluid can cause it. Good luck!

What size tires did you get? What brand/type of tire did you get?

With some new tires, you have to drive around in it for a little bit to get any grease, wax, or whatever might be on the tires themselves, to wear them off. Just drive around for the next day or so and see if that helps.

Re: heLP!!!!

So you replaced the tires with the same size tires than? Or did you change the size?
