Exclamation Rim coating coming off?

I have had my wheels for almost a year now and after a wash I noticed that the clear coat,
or clear covering is coming off of my rims.

I have talked to a few people and half said that it is fixable, while the other half said its useless.
My rims are aluminum, and if I take this coating off I will have to buff the crap out of them about once a week.

Is there a special spray to fix this? or some place that can get them done?

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue.

I know there is a solution that can be used on the rims to refinish, I just have no idea what it is called.

And yes Nacho, they are XXR 962's....

I want those in gold, even though they're not "top quality", lol. No other rims have that thick 5 spoke I love.

And have you washed your rims with anything weird lately? I washed them off with Simple Green and water once, and that, I think, is what started to cause them to bubble and peel. It might have just been the weather too.

I like the rims, they look really good on my custom blue.

As far as using anything special on the rims to clean them, I have not. Just the usual soap and water. I did take it recently to a few car washes but they didn't use anything crazy and if they did it would be worse than what it is.

I kind of want to buy clear coat and see how it works, but I'm willing to hold of until someone on here might bring up some insight

I was just at Napa buying stuff to paint my grill, and they have some "Wheel Coating" stuff. If I woulda remembered this thread, I would have saw what it was for.
