How long does the brembo brakes last?
Re: How long does the brembo brakes last?
Isn't the question the number of applications per mile and the time in 0.001 seconds of each application and the pedal pressure and rotor temperature during each applications.
Hopefully you can see why some get 50%, some average, and some 200% of average pad life.
Easy to imagine some people in some locations brake 4 times as frequently per day or mile.

i think he wants to just get a tally and see what people get. I'm at 12000 miles, 35% of my front brakes pads are left and 55% of my rear brake pads are left. I'm a fairly hard driver, meaning sometimes i drive normal and sometimes i drive like im racing someone.

One man hard driving is another man grandpa .
The Worst brake abusers in ATL are women real estate agents, the best are long distance salesmen who drive 40,000 miles per year plus.
The women get 10,000 miles on the same car [Q45/J30] set of pads the men 40,000 miles.
The men get 250,000 miles in 6 years [with a monthly oil change], the womans cars are shot at 100k. Same with transmissions shifts per mile.
One would think a sample size of 20 would be enough but on this forum, owners tend to be younger and more agreesive drivers. But then again that why they opt for the Brembos.
On average all the Infiniti models since 1989 have gotten around 20-25k on pads for city drivers in non hilly terrain.
We tend to try to persuade owners to change them at 3 mm not waiting for the 2mm absolute minimum because of the chance for fluid boiling as you get too near the minimum.

I drive a good mix up interstate/town driving. I have 29k on orginal pads with right at 1/2 pad left on front. Rears are 3/4 pad remaining.
Side note: I just changed original tires front and rear @ 29K...That should tell you a little about my driving habits...

Re: How long does the brembo brakes last?
How thick are new Brembo brake pads? I just checked mine for the first time myself (man they are easy to check ... don't even have to take the wheel off. you can see the pad and the wear indicator). It looks like I have I have about 3-4 mm left on my pads all around. I have 42000+ miles on my coupe. I'll be happy if I can get to 50,000 miles. Then it will get expensive, as I'll have to change all 4 tires and all 4 sets of brakes. I'm not looking forward to that bill ($1,500+ is my guess on the damage, and I think that's still on the low side).
