All Tires are 275-40-19

Continental SportContact 2 $99 5/32nd Tread Left (R Rated)

Michelin Pilot Primacy $129 5/32nd Tread Left (R Rated)
http://www.atlantistire.com/prod-1909.htm

Dunlop Sp Sport 01 $129 5/32nd Tread Left (ZR Rated)
http://www.atlantistire.com/prod-19027.htm

Pirelli P-Zero Rosso $149 6/32nd Tread Left (R Rated)
http://www.atlantistire.com/prod-19016.htm

I just need used tires for now until I get a new set of wheels.

I'm leaning more for Pirelli but have heard great things about Continental.

Thanks!

Tires lose their wet ability quite a bit at 4/32nd's, so I'd prob stay away from the 5/32nd options. Not much life left in them at all.

IMHO go with a cheaper new tire with alot of tread unless this is your last resort. New tires usually have 10-11/32 and are considered "bald" at 2/32. You will probably get less than 10k out of them.

Thanks for the info, I dont think Im worried about wet traction since I live here in California...

Plus these are only temporary, how long do you think 5/32nd would last mileage wise? How about 6/32nd?

Do you think these are good prices?

I would go with the first option, even-though I think they're asking to much for it. I get used tires for $15 - 20

Yup, any size, as much thread left, it doesn't matter... I picked up a brand new looking Toyo Proxes 4 for $15, had to sell it cus I didn't find a match for it. The guys there make their money on the mount/install; they charge I think $30 or $35 to remove/dispose ur old tires and mount and balance the purchased ones.

^ Well you got some kind of hook up because It's impossible to find these prices out here in CA...even on ebay the used tires go for even more than the prices in the links here...

If you really do get 19in-20in brand name used tires u could make alota money selling them online...

Back on Topic, I think im going for the first ones on the list....how long should 5/32nd last me?

Most used tires are picked out from car accidents, which are sent to the junkyard. Junkyard sells it to a middleman or directly to the used tire shop. They don't look at their value or the amount of thread, they sell them let's say $5/each. The shop will make money regardless, just some shops like the one I go to, are not that greedy, they'll make money on the tires and the mounting and balance. If I lived closer to the place I would go and look for our most popular sizes and hook yall up, but I dnt have the time. Any locals (Northern VA) can hit me up if you need used tires...

I'm actually in the same shoes as you looking for 285/35/19 and 255/35/19 they got some michelin for about 300 for front and rear with 5/32nd but I got a quote at a tire shop for that same size in hankook v12 tax and mounted out the door for 770 falkens 452 was cheaper but people seem like they like the hangook better. Damn I don't know what to do lol save a few hundred or get brand new tires. I only drive like 400 miles or month or less.
