Lug pattern adapter/spacers?

So, most of us use spacers and they're all good. Anyone use an adapter to change their lug pattern? It doesn't seem any more dangerous than spacer IMO. Anyone know anything about this?

Same difference really as using bolt-on spacers, but something hub-centric would be nice as well. Most lug adapter styles might not include the hub-centric portion, but that would be one thing to look for IMO.

They'll make just about anything you want. I was quoted $285 shipped for 4 adapters hubcentric to the car and with the proper size wheelcentric ring machined into it for whatever aftermarket rims you run.
