For a number reasons actually. First, I dont like stretching tires all that much. Second, 255/35/19 was getting overwhelmed by my rear grip and thirdly becuase I like seeing the impressions of all of my subaru friends because I can fit tires on my fronts that they can't fit at all.

Right now I feel like I have just the right amount of rear oversteer, it borders on neutral. Before with a 255/295 setup I was loosing the front end a lot on hard braking corners, short hairpins and such. The 285/305 combo has cured all of that.

I may have been able to get over it by adjusting my sways, but I figured tires would be the better way of doing it. with my wheels, I didnt have to do any fender work to make it fit, so it was no biggy.

Since you asked, my setup is as follows:
Forgestar F14 wheels and Hankook Ventus Evo V12 tires
19x10+20 with 285/30/19 fronts
19x11+23 with 305/30/19 rears

LOLOL... oh man... im going nuts trying to figure out what the "a" means.. well thank you for that clarification...

I am dropped on Cobb Tuning 350Z springs with a rear sping mount mod to level the rear in respect to the front. I have them wrapped around Tokico D-Specs. I rolled my rear fenders and got an alignment thats a compromise between street and track, so I am a little cambered in. I rub the fender liner in the front a little, but only on hard bumps, otherwise no additional fender mods and no interference elsewhere.

Umm i see... do you know the specs on the 350z Codd springs (drop height)... and were you able to use the oem camber arms.. or did you need aftermarket... reason for asking.. i have Bilstein pss10 coilovers.. which most likely...i will have to get camber arms to get into spec... im not looking for a slammed car at all hence i live in NYC.. pothole city... i was thinking of a 1 - 1 1/2 inch gap between wheel and fender ...do you have pics of your car so i can see the ride height?

The Cobbs are low, certainly in the front. The rears required the spring mount mod to level them off, but if you want to be higher for clearance reason I suggest you just setup your Bilsteins a little higher. I am still on stock front camber arms, but I did install SPC rear camber arms and toe-bolts.
