Bent my 20s =(

So I see that one of my tires is low on air...no big deal, fill her up and then the next day its low again. Take the wheel off and see a bend on the inner lip, which is causing the air leak. I am pretty sure if I send it to a local place, they won't be able to match the gold color very well. So my question for you guys:

Should I get all my wheels refinished in a new color? should I go high polished? all chrome? I am pretty bummed right now, and I'm tempted to go back to stock.

Dont trip when I tell you this! Take a 2x4 with a hammer a give it a hit or two or three. You can get it straight. We do it all the time at the shop with two and three piece wheels!

I did that with my old 18" wheels on my Honda. I've also heard that you can use a brass hammer to pound away at it w/o worrying about cracking.

I'm taking it up to my friends tire store tomorrow. He said it might be cracked, but should be able to get it fixed w/o getting it refinished.

thx for the advice

I'd be too chicken s- to hammer on my expensive wheels. Maybe it would just be better to drop off the car, practice the "don't ask, don't tell" policy and get her back good as new. However they fixed it, who cares.

Its not cracked, its not a cast wheel. Thats why it wont hurt to hammer it.

Re: Bent my 20s =(

you bent the inner rim, there not gonna touch the center of the wheel so you shouldnt worry if there gonna match the color cause they shouldnt touch you gold centers of the wheel, they'll just straight the inner part of the rim
