17' Wheel Offsets
17' Wheel Offsets
Hi everyone,
I've searched and cant find anything, so I was hoping maybe someone here could help me out with this:
Im looking at getting a set of 17x7.5 wheels. Theyre available in +45 to +25 offsets. I want to get the +25s so my stance is a bit wider, but im wondering if +25 would be too much and start rubbing over bumps.
The car is an 03 sport sedan, not lowered and my tires are 215/55. I really dont want to roll the fenders, so if it will rub, i might as well just settle for +35.
any input appreciated

The +25 wont rub with the 215/55's or even a 235/50 if you decided to switch it up later down the road. I've had the stock coupe 17's on my car before which are 17x7.5 +30 up front and they come no where close.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Amen to that^^
Look at bigger rims so they don't get swallowed up by your car. 19"s look better but tires are cheaper for 18"s.

wow guys~ thanks for the quick replies
as much as i love the look of 18s on a dropped G, i cant go any bigger than 17s because the car is a daily driver. In my area, sometimes road work leaves 3 inch vertical slabs of pavement straight across 4 lanes....I just like the comfort of taller tires and not having to worry about bent rims
hahah i really admire you guys slammed with rolled fenders and sitting with huge 19s/20s flush
**maan im paranoid...im probably going to end up going out and trying to measure clearance

If you get some high quality wheels, you won't have to worry about bending your wheels when you hit potholes and stuff. Good tires can help with that too, such as General UHP's.
the tires on my 17s are UHPs and i love them (theyre also 1 season old, so more reason to just stay with 17s
)
heres an idea of what the roadwork is like 4-5 times a year

This thing is literally 2-3 inches high...and these appear around every manhole as well as the sections of road they dig up
Personally, the cheaper the better, less headache/wallet ache
