Re: help! ppl w/20 in rims

twinsnails... can you post more pictures of your car and wheels? Im looking to get 20's, you think i would have problems on rubbing if I go with 20x10.5 and 285/30/20 tires? Im not sure if 275 is wide enough for 10.5

Re: help! ppl w/20 in rims

After getting the 275's on the car, 285s will fit and most likely not rub unless you really dump it. If you have the fenders rolled, 285s will be no problem at all with same offset as Volk.

Man that tire looks small! I think a 285 would rub though! Why does everyone want to go with a 10.5 in rear? All this talk about chrome weighing more then people go out and get a 10.5 rim. I dont understand!

Re: help! ppl w/20 in rims

I agree, 10.5 in the rear is a bit too close for me...
I went with iforged evos 20x9 w/ 2 inch lip in the front and 20x10 w/ 4 inch lip in the back with my brembos and I put on my tein H techs and I did not have to roll my fender at all and my ride quality is fairly close to stock.. I'd say go with the 20's all the way..

ohh yeah.. make sure you get the lips chromed and go with brushed alum centers

I'd also recommend STRONGLY that if you have a 9.0" wide wheel in the front to consider a 255/35/20 over a 245/35/20. This looks MUCH BETTER (imo) with the 275/35/20. The 255 and 275 almost have the same tire/lip protection, where the 245 will leave the front rim more exposed to potential damage.

20x8.5 and 20x10s.. lowered around 3.5" on JICs. No rub, smooth ride and tons of camber until i install my kinetix racing camber kit.

19s are too small for the large wheel wells, especially with a 1-2" drop.

I also have 20x10.5 on the back with 285/30's and I have no rubbing at all.
