Will it rub?

So I just picked up a set of used Volk GTS's with a +17 offset up front. I'm currently on coilovers, lowered so that the top of the tire sits even with the bottom of the fender. The tires on there currently are BFg KDWs 255/35. One side has cords showing from camber wear, but the other side is salvageable if flipped to the other side...

I'm debating whether or not to just buy another used 255 KDW or just get a new set of 245s up front. I have a bad feeling I'm going to be rubbing with the 255s though b/c my front fenders are not rolled. Anyone have opinions?

Cords showing? Replace the tire, doesn't matter where the contact patch is, the sidewall has been compromised. Roll the fenders.

^ agreed!

I had the same setup with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, 255/35 up front. I did rub, mainly going over bumps in the road. But barely.

I have the same wheels but with 15mm spacers. I'm very low with Flex's. I'm running a 235 on the front & all four corners are rolled.

I haven't even put the wheels on yet b/c I know that the front tires need replaced. They're 19x9.5 +17 up front. Do you think I'd have rubbing issues if I ran 245s up front, no fender roll?

245, you should be good. If you're aggressively lowered, watch the dips/bumps when you're turning. Other than that, you should be good.

i don't think rolling your fronts will make a big difference.

i'd stick with the 245's.

Sucks to hear that. What is your suspension setup? Coils? Springs?

I think I'm going to go with 245s up front and from researching I shouldn't have much of a problem. I've got more camber than stock from the drop anyway. We'll see what happens.

I used to run a 255/35/19 up front on a volk gts lowered on tein s-tech. The only rubbing I had a problem with was the rear when it used to be a 275/35/19.
