PLEASE educate me on wheels & tires !
dear y'all
My 04 sedan came with those 6-spoke 17s on Michelin Primacy 215/55-17 rubber. Being that I live in the land of rain (and greenery) I reckon a spare set of wheels mounted on rain tires would be nice.
As we all know, any chance to replace or repair is also a chance to upgrade. So what I would like to know is what is the general consensus on aftermarket (or OEM) replacements that are lighter (maybe a little bigger) yet just as sturdy to run all day every day of the year.
thanks a lot !

Try Tirerack or Discount Tire for fairly objective reviews and analysis. I run Hankook H727, which has extremely high ratings for a good price (<$125) at both Tirerack and Consumer Reports. Here you'll get 50 different opinions based on whether you want a V, Z, W or H rating ,or summer/all-season/winter, or any number of variables. If you don't get snow, your needs will be different than mine. My best suggestion is to try Tirerack and read the thousands of review results.
I also run either 245/55/17's or 235/55/17's on the back and one size smaller on the front (225 or 235). It's a 2004 sedan with no mods.
Good luck and i hope this helps.

Thanks for the help Chica
As it turns out I went the OEM route and picked up a set of 19" Rays with Kumbo Ecsta 225/40 fronts and 245/40 rears last night.
Anyone care to opine on how or if the TPMS sensors will figure themselves out ? Both my old 17s and these new 19s have them installed.
Thanks again

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

You'll have to get the TPMS in your new rims programmed to your car. Once you do that you'll be good to go.
I've always wanted to opine and now I have.

Now you can graduate to pontification.

Thank you guys
As it turns out I'm nowhere near an Infiniti dealer so I was wondering if there's any way to reprogram the TPMS sensors to work with my car myself. I called a dealer in the next town and they suggested asking my local Nissan superstore if they could help me
