2008 G35x - Tire Question

2008 G35x - Tire Question
So currently my setup for my G35x is OEM, 225/55/R17. What are the benefits if I went to 235/50/R17? According to the tire calculators - this would mean im going 1.8% too fast. Is that okay? Is there any benefits w/ braking or handling w/ a 235 tire? Thanks for the help.
