Will 225/35/19 fit ? Help!

Hey everyone,

Its that time for new tires, and ive made my decision to get a set of General Exclaims but the few places ive looked to buy them only offer 225/35/19 and 245/35/19 instead of 225/40/19 and 245/40/19 like i have now. i thought the 35 and 40 was the size of the side or wall of the tire. so wouldnt my tires just be a little bit thinner? will these work?? Thanks

won't that throw off your VDC?

i'd run a bit wider, like 235/35 and 255/35.

It's a bit short to be honest. A 245/35-19 would be a lot closer to what VDC likes.
