actually varrs has some of the engravings on them but no t the volk racing ones nore the madd in japan i think..

+1... no engravings on the varrs. they're probably really heavy too.

varr's are not really heavy. they aren't super light weight forged but not heavy.

according to my350z:
WEIGHT
19x8.5: 23.8lbs
19x9.5: 26.2lbs
19x10.5: 28.4lbs

and from a post on driver for oem 19's:
19x8 (front): 19lbs
19x8.5 (rear): 21lbs

So I mean there definitely is a bit of a difference but not really that much if you take size into account and the fact that the rays are forged. I don't have the weights for the authentic te's, but if it is similar to oem 19's then I doubt you could tell just by feel. Add on the fact that the one the OP is considering already has tires on it and you can't determine authenticity by weight.

^ iirc, when it comes to wheel weights, every pound counts?

so even a pound difference makes a big difference.

You still haven't proven anything, if you are going to claim something back it up.

I don't personally care if my varr weigh more (an extra $1k+ can go many other places to make me faster), but I do care that you are just making claims without posting any evidence. I already posted over half of the weights we need to see to actually find something out about the difference. Saying they weight a lot more and then that the little weight makes a big difference without any citations or even knowing what kind of weight difference we are talking about is just plain worthless.

Well, I got authentic LE28N but no Volk Racing engraving on them. They have Rays Eng. Made in Japan, 5x100, Forged, Monoblock... Real Volk monoblock (1 piece) wheels must have those engravings.
I dont know why every single Varrs wheel that I looked at, they dont have any engravings except for 2 next to valve stem and I dont know what are those engravings.

Well its not like I had a scale on me when I carried it, so I couldn't really tell how much exactly they weighed.

So what's the verdict? Shoot or don't shoot?

haha I actually did a lot of research before I bought these. Here's what I found about real TE37s:
1) Engravings
2) For the holes where you put the lug nuts (whatever they're called), only one hole should line up with the spoke and the rest should be slightly off
3) Some real ones have a blue air nozzle thing, some real ones don't too, but the blue air nozzle thing is a good indicator of real Volks
4) The little area where you put the lug nuts should be curved a little bit. Fake ones are flat.
5) Rays stickers
6) Light

Real wheels should meet almost all of these requirements unless like the stickers were taken off or it doesn't have the blue air nozzle thing
