Re: staggard rims on sedan?

staggard rims on sedan?

Is it possible to use wheels with different offsets on a sedan? I've seen 8.5"/9.5" rims sets online and I'm wondering what would look right.

Re: staggard rims on sedan?

I got 19x8 (+40 offset) on the front and 19x9.5 (+34 offset) on the rears and i've had no problems.

Only thing is you can't rotate your wheels if you do this.

I have 19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et55. Front and rears align flush with fender. You can also check out my profile for more pics.

Re: staggard rims on sedan?

Great picture examples of staggered setups guys. The only thing thats kinda interesting and confusing at the same time is the rear offsets on all your rides. They all look pretty close to the same, i.e. at or near the outside edge of the rear fender, yet all your offsets are different some by a good amount.
Av8r: 9.5" w. 55 offset
iLLG35: 9.5" w. 38 offset
Built2Shred: 9.5 " w . 34 offset
fXg35rida: 9' w. 45 offset

Thats a pretty good range of offsets with basically the same stance with iLL's looking like his sets the closest to outside read fender......

Built2Shred....looks nice....one thing though for the people reading this thread, you said that your front offset is 40 but in an earlier post (I think September 19) you said that front was 33....just an FYI...no big deal...lol
Also, would it be OK to go 18 x 8 245/40/18 fr. and 18 x 9 245/40/18 rear?...just checking for myself.

Re: staggard rims on sedan?

Yea my rear is just even or a little out past the rear fender, nothing seriously out just a tad and matches up perfectly IMO, here's a few more pics and Built2shred, i want a stillen exhaust now soooo BADLY, my Borla looks like garbage, but i love the sound and performance of it especially while matched up with the XERD test pipes, so deep and mean no rasp, i wonder what it would sound like with stillen because of stillen's X pipe or different piping, hmm!! Anyway here's a few more pics showing rear and front offset's.. Martin

Honestly these pictures might look a little weird, the way the wheel is out and offset int he rear, it might look funny on here but it doesnt look that way in person at all, it looks just right and perfect!! Also those were during the first few days i got those rims, i have to say and i dont know how, my springs and wheels have settled more and the rims are now perfect, not out too much i dunno its weird LOL....

You caught me My bad, Ya I looked up my wheels real quick on tirerack.com to see the offsets and I pulled up the offset for 19x8 rim instead of the 19x8.5 rim which I have. So yes my correct setup is

Front: 19x8.5 +33mm
Rear: 19x9.5 +34mm

The +40mm offset would be correct for 19x8 rim tho
