New wheels for the G (pics)and tire question

Bought these wheels a few months ago . They needed a lil work . I sanded all the chipping powder coat painfully down to bare aluminum . I am planning on painting them gloss black (I spray professionally ) but i decided to just plasti-dip them for the winter then paint in the spring .

Wheels are 20" Iforged Daytonas with BFG KDW tires and muteki sr48 neochrome lugs.

Now for the question . The tires have around 50% tread left and 1 front tire is scraped along the outer top . Does anyone have a problem with these tires being really LOUD ? When i get up to 10-40mph its the loudest and when coming to a stop . Best way to describe it is it sounds like a swarm of bee's chasing me or the horizontal grating on some bridges . Is that normal ? Do you think the tires is the culprit or could it be the wheels ? I had them balanced before i mounted them .

Teaser pics . It was dark and snapped a few pics . Better pics to come . Dont mind my car being filthy .Lips need a little polishing .BTW yes i know i need a little drop . Its not to bad though and offsets look great .

What you described is tire noise, I personally haven't used those tires.

Post a pic of the scrape you're talking about, could be the reason.

Yes you can!

remove them and switch them to the other side of the car. (involves removing tires booo)

Either that or just wait till you eat those tires and then move into some tires you know are quiet like Pilot sports or something.

ahhh i got you . so the one with the scrape on the outside would be on the other side of the car on the inside . Why didnt they do that **** when they put the tires on since the scrape was already there . I can see them charging a lot to do it over since the first time took over a hour a tire and 4 guys .

what problems can that cause ? Barrels look good except one had a 1/4" crack that was professionally welded . If it were a problem wouldnt it not be able to be balanced . The place that it was welded at is well know for doing excellent work and he said it wouldnt cause any problems .

Those tires are known for being very noisy. I had them for one week and took them back to my shop because of the noise. I have a lot of customers that buy them and I let them know that they are loud and they understand. BTW if it took that place an hour each wheel and four people than they do not know what they are doing.

Thanks for thr reply .Yea iv read a few reviews where people were saying they sound like all 4 wheels bearings going out at the same time or they had to take them back cuz it was giving them headaches or compared it to the instrument in the world cup . That would be the sound i have . Other than the sound they ride pretty smooth and stick well . I may be exxagerating a little on the time they took but i was there for a while watching them mount it . It was a really tight fit . The fronts went on faster than the rears . Size is 285/30/zr20 in the rear .

I've had kdw2's before and they were much quieter than t1r or fk452 that I've had before.
