Bumpy Ride

I have the G35 sedan with the sport package and was expecting a stiff ride, however, even on newly paved roads I am feeling bumps. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? And was there anything done to correct it?

Re: Bumpy Ride

This is to be expected with a "Sports Package", since the spring and shocks are a little stiffer. I have the Sports Package also and experience the same.

Re: Bumpy Ride

I have the sport suspension with the Goodyear GS-Ds. Below 40 MPH the ride is harsh. Above 60 MPH it smooths out. Above 80 MPH it is great. The Goodyears have a flat spot for a few miles when cold. This leads to a sensation of the wheels being out of balance. 3-5 miles are requires to warm the tires and smooth them out. I believe they are sensitive to tire pressure. 30 -31 PSIG gives a smooth ride but vibration on the freeway. 35+ PSIG is smooth at high speed but harsh below 40 MPH. 32-33 PSIG seems to be the best compromise. My '98 Passat with Michelins at 35 PSIG give a very smooth ride at all speeds. I can hardly wait until the goodyears need replacement.
