Quote: I don't really remember how much it costed, but it wasn't that much bc it was my friends friends company so they gave me a pretty good deal. Well now I know I would've been better off waiting and spending it on some real rims... Lesson learned here!
so why don't your friend stand behind his product????? glad you are ok. thanks. I was looking online last night and was thinking about a set b/c i didn't want to spend too much on my daily driven x. how fast were you going? I had a tire blow out in a tunnel and almost took a wall out in my rx7 going 90++++ i'd be mad as hell.

Quote: Volk SF Winnings, problem solved.

^always loved these rims.

I thought about getting the Chikara wheels before. Same thing. Guy from 88rotors is a friend of a friend. Bought tires from them before.

Then I saw the wheels in person & decided to save up for some Volks. The wheels are super thin. Be weary of cast wheels that are as light as these. It just means that they skimp on material.

That's why I stay away from all "outsourced" products. I had run in on this board with proud owner of chinese/taiwanese made brake kit.
Just another incident to prove the point...it is cheaper to buy original products in the long run, especially if it concerns your and your family's safety.
There're a lot of reputable companies who make high quality products(in Japan, Europe and USA) and do not charge arm and a leg for them.
