HELP PLEASE! 255 with +25 offset in front?

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of picking up some 19" Ro_Ja R2-5 wheels with an offset of +25 on the front wheels. Will a 255/35/19 tire fit on these wheels without rubbing? They are 8.5" wide. Thanks for your help guys.

Shaam

Re: HELP PLEASE! 255 with +25 offset in front?

I have the PIAA Super Rozza's. They are 19 x 9.0 in the front with a +25 offset. My front tire is a 255/35/19 and I have no rubbing issues. BTW, I'm lowered on the TEIN H-Techs for the 350Z too. IMO, a 255 would not look right on an 8.5" wide wheel. The rim is 1/2" smaller (which means the tire will stick out over the rim on each side an additional 1/4") and the tire itself is ~10mm wider (which means that it will stick out ~5mm on each side. 5mm ~ 1/4"). That is almost 1/2" difference between my amount of lip protection and what you'd be running. IMO, you're going to have too much tire sticking out over your rim and the fronts will look MUCH different than the backs unless you run a 285 on a 9.5" wide wheel. Even then the amount of tire you have bulging over your rim will look much different than the pics in my profile.

What? You think that John Kerry is not consistent?

Thanks for the response. Very helpful. Is there anyone that is running a 255/35/19 tire on a 8.5" rim? I'm curious to see how that would look...
