Bridgestone Blizzak question

So im looking into getting some snow tires. I found these... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....%20Wheel%20Pkg
I know that the g35 rays are 225/40 front 245/40 rear. The tires in the link are all four 225/40 but they are still 19 inches. I went to firestone, the sales guy said they would fit but my tire pressure light might go off and it might look weird, but i dont wanna shell out 1000 bucks for lm-60s if the tires will only be on for a couple months. Basically my question is: Can i get by with the tires in the link on the 19inch oem rays... Thanks guys.

The tire pressure light indicates low air pressure inside the tire. It has nothing to do with the size of the tire.

I run 225/55R17's on all four wheels during the winter with no apparent VDC issues. There should not be a problem running a non-staggered setup with snow tires so long as they're the same size as either the O.E.M. front or rear.

As for looks, it's not like there are many car shows you'll be competing at in the middle of January. Get some tires on your car that will allow you to operate it safely in the weather conditions you are likely to experience where you live. The SoCal boys will laugh at you - just bite your tongue while thinking about how much cheaper your rent or mortgage is for two or three times the living area.

I'd look for a cheap set of 17s or 18s off the marketplace, craigslist, ebay and mount the blizzaks on there. You can do the same size all around and save money with the smaller tire size.

The tire pressure light will not illuminate unless you are continiously driving for more than about 45 minutes. It turns off when you restart your car.

Itd only be 500 bucks to get those tires in the link. I just want to make sure they will fit. Can we get a consensus on that?

Nice price for 19s. But I'd still hate having to mount/demount them on your 19s every year. Or curb your forged 19s.

You can get 17" wheels w/ winter tires used for about $500. Ie.. a set of 17" Z wheels "should" clear brembos if you have them Or run 18" coupe/Z wheel/winter tires.

I dont want to sound like a stuck up *** or anything but my parents are buying them for christmas and i know a guy who works at dobbs so mount/demount would be cheap. So i think i should just go ahead with the 225/40s on all four rays?

Narrower tires work better in the snow. Since there's less "footprint" to support the weight of the car, there's more pounds per square inch on the footprint. This helps the tire sink down into the snow for better grip.

Not sure about running a 225 on a 8.5" wheel. lack of curb protection FTL during snow
