Is 3.7% fast too much?

Is 3.7% fast too much?
Looking at getting some winter tires-Considering replacing stock 215/55/17 with 235/45/17. These tires would be 3.7% too fast. Should I keep looking (for slightly used)?

That will mess with the VDC! Try to find something much closer to your stock diameter?

yeah that is way too fast. think about your warranty.
my 2.4 percent fast is a b*#%^ already. but then again, it may help you avoid a speeding ticket.
