Looking to purchase new tires not sure if I should stick with what I got or change the sizes up
Current setup
Front
19x8.5
225/40/19
+35
Rear
19x9.5
255/35/19
+35
I bought these rims and tires used so thats what tires came on it. They are pretty warn down so looking to get new tires Just wondering if I should get the same size tires that came with the wheels or switch it up
I am currently on 350z S-tech but hope to change to Coilovers eventually to go lower and Also going to space them out accordingly as well prob 15mm in rear and 20mm up front. I dont wanna go hellaflush because of the damage it causes to fenders and its not super functional but I wanna be pretty close to hellaflush

Edit: also rear fenders are rolled. My tires are a little bit stretched right now I wouldnt mind a little more stretch though.

Measure the gap between the tire sidewall and the outer fender to see how much wider you can go.
I am in the same boat though, I am trying to figure out how wide I can go with my set-up.

yes sedan.. Why do you want wider tires? Wouldnt you want skinnier or do you not want the stretched look?Originally Posted by 4D05G35

Edit: just looked dont think I can get anything wider in their more than 255s otherwise it would be sticking out the fender.

Since i am reading this thread i might as well post my question too..
Okay, So I am going to get my 18 inch stock wheels (G35 Coupe) painted black and i will need a new set of tires as well.
Can i put 255/35/18 or 30 in the front and 275/30/18 at the back? I've been posting these questions is other threads but nobody is replying. Hear from you guys.

no one is replying either because A. its very common setup and works so people dont bother answering or B. because you jack threads like this that has nothing to do with your car or your rims or even a coupe for that matter instead of start your own thread where 100% attention is focused on your question.

a 275 in the rear is going to balloon too much. its too much tire for the wheel. a 235/255 is a better fit.Originally Posted by anthony_evo08

I have no need to stretch my tires. My offsets put my wheels pretty flush so I want to fit the widest tire I can.Originally Posted by toymachine2009

if you drop the rear to a 245/35 it will be about a 1/4 inch smaller than the front.

I would, but thats just my preference.
Right now your tires are pretty close to the same diameter (same as what im running now).
But you did mention that you plan to go lower and add spacers, so maybe check out the stretched tire thread to get some ideas.
Ive been reading through there and other ones to get ideas. Its helped me determin my new tire size (285/30/19 x 245/35/19)..i just need to sell my whhels and tires first.

yes I hope to coilovers and if need be spacers to space them out a bit. I didnt even know 285 tires can fit on a sedan.Originally Posted by 4D05G35

From what ive heard it should fit,ive yet to see it in pics though. As you go lower your wheels will tuck in so i hope someone who does have a similar set-up will chime in.Originally Posted by toymachine2009
