Quality/longevity of mobile wheel refinishing

Okay, guy at a dealership had some Rays 19s for sale cheap, but they were pretty roughed up so he said he'd have the guy the dealer uses come in and refinish them. Okay, deal.

I go pick them up and they certainly aren't factory refinished, despite claims they would be. He's a mobile guy who sanded, bondo'd (or whatever they use on wheels) and painted/cleared them. There's a few inconspicuous clear oversprays, but on the whole they look pretty good. Question is what can I expect from them? Have to wheel wax and be gentle with the paint or what?

Thanks

I'll get some pics in the morning. I'm trying to get in touch with the guy that did the work to see if he'll warranty his efforts.

bondo only fixes cosmetics. In some cases, you may want to weld some metal back on to make the repair durable and the wheel balanced.

Loss of quality is the price you pay for being unable to afford inconvenience.

They really pop in the light I'm noticing. Definitely liking the color.
